Three Demos and Multiple Displays Focus on Advanced Automation

LISLE, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Molex plans to highlight Rockwell Automation Encompass Program solutions at the upcoming Rockwell Automation Fair® 2016, November 9-10 in Atlanta, GA. At booth 1814, Molex will present three demonstrations and multiple displays featuring advanced automation technologies.

Molex will showcase SSTTM ControlLogix and CompactLogix backplane communication modules, featuring Modbus Serial, Modbus TCP and Siemens Industrial Ethernet and PROFIBUS industrial network protocols. Molex automation solutions are designed for applications in a range of industries, including oil and gas, petrochemical, refining, wastewater, milling, mining, packaging and manufacturing.

Molex Booth Demonstrations

Universal Modbus Module Demonstration features CompactLogix and ControlLogix communication modules simultaneously transferring data between Modbus serial and Modbus TCP devices. Also, the demonstration will showcase a ControlLogix communication module communicating to Siemens S7 and S5 PLCs over Siemens Industrial Ethernet Protocol
PROFIBUS Module Demonstration features CompactLogix and ControlLogix PROFIBUS master/slave communication modules simultaneously transferring data between various PROFIBUS devices. Additionally, the demonstration will showcase a Molex IP67 Hazardous location PROFIBUS Remote Ethernet/IP Gateway communication to PROFIBUS devices.
Safety Toolkit for CIP Safety Scanner and Adapter demonstrates the exchange of data between controllers and various safety devices.

Fully integrated into the Rockwell Automation environment, Molex SST communication modules, control systems simulation software, network diagnostic tools and protocol software development kits maximize network flexibility and enable rapid connection of Rockwell ControlLogix and CompactLogix systems to EtherNet/IP, Modbus serial and Modbus Ethernet, PROFIBUS, and other networks. PICS Simulation® software simulates real-world systems and machines controlled by DCS, PLC and PC control systems. The entire system (communications, sequencing/ interlocking, HMI/SCADA and alarms) can be tested, all emergency faults can be verified and operators trained prior to the system going operational.
DeviceNet Diagnostic Tools such as; the handheld NetMeter™ DN, eNetMeter™, Portable eNetMeter™, NetAlytix™ Software allow DeviceNet users to not only troubleshoot existing network issues but, also allow for monitoring the health of the DeviceNet network.
SST ControlLogix Ethernet and Serial Communication Modules provide faster and easier connection for Modbus serial, Modbus/TCP, PROFIBUS and Siemens Industrial Ethernet to Rockwell Automation in the backplane modules.

EtherNet/IP CIP Safety ToolKit, which are available in the Rockwell Encompass Program, allow implementation of EtherNet/IP and CIP Safety protocols.
