Your company will be exhibiting at IMTS, what is it that makes this an important event for your company?
This is a huge networking opportunity. It gives us the ability to make new connections in the industry as well as maintain and solidify existing customer relationships. IMTS also is a great chance for us to see what is at the forefront of the industries represented at the show.
Highlight 2 or 3 products you will be showcasing at the event?
We will be highlighting our HELUTOP EASY cable glands as well as our TOPFLEX 600, TOPFLEX 650 and TOPFLEX 1000. With our HELUTOP EASY cable glands, customers can remove the hassle of unnecessary locknuts and threaded applications. Our unique patented spring/snap system allows for quick and easy installation, even in hard-to-reach areas. Our TOPFLEX Series, TOPFLEX 600 VFD, 650 VFD and 1000 VFD have been upgraded with XLPE Insulation. This now allows our TOPFLEX series to carry a higher current load and withstand higher temperatures. This upgrade from a semiconductive insulation to XLPE aligns with the NFPA-79 2018 guidelines.
IMTS has many educational sessions & demo’s, is your company involved in any of them this year?
We are not involved directly in any sessions or demo’s at IMTS this year but we will have a robot from FANUC demonstrating the abilities of our products. Our cables will be integrated with a Robotec Systems dress pack.
When you get a chance to walk the exhibit hall floor yourself, what is it you will be most interested to see? Any educational sessions you plan on attending?
The most interesting thing we will be looking for, is how other companies and competitors, will be displaying their products to clients and how they display their products. Also, what new technologies the competitors are bringing to the market.
When you book a booth for a tradeshow like this what are your expectations and what does your company hope to accomplish at the event?
We are hoping to get a lot of facetime with potential customers by hosting meetings that are booked in advance and bring in potential customers from the show floor. We want to show them our capabilities and how we can assist them with their cabling requirements.
A tradeshow of this magnitude is extremely busy and stressful for the staff of exhibiting companies. Any fun things or places your team can suggest in Chicago to help unwind?
Just a few miles North of McCormick Place, on the top floor of the Chicago Athletic Association, you will find Cindy’s Rooftop bar. With uninterrupted views of Millennium Park and Lake Michigan, Cindy’s is a great place to unwind after a long day at IMTS.
