ADLINK Technology Displays Latest Industrial Internet of Things Demos and Discusses Rugged Small Form Factor Design at Upcoming IoT DevCon 2016

PrismTech, an ADLINK company, will also present on the importance of fog computing and data distribution in IoT architectures

ADLINK Technology, a leading global provider of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) platforms, will be demonstrating the companys latest IIoT platforms in Booth 7 at IoT DevCon 2016, May 25-26, at the Hyatt Regency in Santa Clara, CA. In addition, ADLINK invites attendees to a panel discussion on Choosing the Right Small Form Factor for your Ruggedized IoT Application on Wednesday, May 25 at 4:15 pm and a presentation from PrismTech on The Cloudy, Foggy and Misty Internet of Things on Thursday, May 26 at 3 pm.

Demonstrations will include a real-time M2M automation solution featuring the MXE-202i intelligent gateway, based on Intel® IoT Gateway Technology, and Vortex Data Distribution Services (DDS). Motion tracking triggers a motion sensor connected to the MXE-202i, which ingests the data that is then distributed to the robotic devices via Vortex DDS in order to activate the arms. The MXE-200i Series provides an intelligent, robust embedded system supporting wide application development and easy service deployment in industrial automation, while the Vortex intelligent data sharing platform enables easy distribution of data between devices and from device to cloud.
The ADLINK Intelligent IoT Gateway Starter Kit will also be on hand. It serves as a complete IIoT connection solution for reduced development time and quick deployment for every application environment. The starter kit contains the MXE-202i intelligent IoT gateway, EdgePro IoT device & sensor management application, light sensor, siren output, Modbus TCP module and accessories. IoT Gateway Starter Kit and EdgePro application benefits also include easy configuration with a user-friendly administrator interface and dashboards.
Matthias Huber, ADLINKs vice president of Global Marketing, will participate in the rugged small form factor design panel discussion on the first day of the event, while PrismTechs Toby McClean, chief solutions architect, will close out the conference with a presentation on how fog and mist computing architectures have emerged as forms of cloud computing close to the edge of the network and to the things of the IoT in order to alleviate connectivity, bandwidth & latency challenges.

T.J. Davies' Retention Knobs

Our retention knobs are manufactured above international standards or to machine builder specifications. Retention knobs are manufactured utilizing AMS-6274/AISI-8620 alloy steel drawn in the United States. Threads are single-pointed on our lathes while manufacturing all other retention knob features to ensure high concentricity. Our process ensures that our threads are balanced (lead in/lead out at 180 degrees.) Each retention knob is carburized (hardened) to 58-62HRC, and case depth is .020-.030. Core hardness 40HRC. Each retention knob is coated utilizing a hot black oxide coating to military specifications. Our retention knobs are 100% covered in black oxide to prevent rust. All retention knob surfaces (not just mating surfaces) have a precision finish of 32 RMA micro or better: ISO grade 6N. Each retention knob is magnetic particle tested and tested at 2.5 times the pulling force of the drawbar. Certifications are maintained for each step in the manufacturing process for traceability.
