Cabinet Coolers stop electronic control downtime due to heat, dirt, and moisture. They are a low cost, reliable way to cool and purge NEMA 4, 4X and 12 electronic control panels. New models are even available for NEMA 4 and 4X Hazardous Locations.
Cabinet Coolers incorporate a vortex tube to produce cold air from compressed air and are available with or without a thermostat. Continuous operation models are recommended when constant cooling and a constant positive purge are desirable. Thermostatic models are recommended when heat load fluctuates and cooling is not always needed.
First determine the type of enclosure you have, then decide if continuous operation or thermostat control is needed. The next step is to calculate the heat load for your enclosure. Models are available from 275 Btu/hr (69 Kcal/hr) to 5,600 Btu/hr (1,411 Kcal/hr). Application Engineers are available online to help you with this task or you can use a convenient sizing guide available at https://exair.co/sizing.
Cabinet Coolers install in minutes, are quiet, stabilize enclosure temperature and have no moving parts - which makes them maintenance free.
