Pack Expo International 2018: Demand for Single Source Suppliers to Be Met Again by Pearson Packaging Systems' Innovative Packing and Palletizing Solutions

Pearson to showcase horizontal and vertical packing and robotic palletizing capabilities in Booth S-3506

Pearson Packaging Systems, secondary packaging equipment and turnkey systems specialist will be exhibiting at Pack Expo in 2018 in Chicago, October 14-17. Following the acquisition of robotic integrator Flexicell earlier this year, show attendees will be able to meet representatives from both brands at the Pearson booth.

ROBOTIC PACK & PALLETIZE SYSTEMS
To meet the primary requirements of present-day packaging challenges - flexibility and scalability - Pearson will highlight a robotic horizontal and vertical top loader with smart, independent cart conveying.

The case packer is designed to demonstrate robotic versatility in a small footprint. Incorporating multiple FANUC robots, the unit will pack pouched baked goods in horizontal and vertical configurations to meet the retail-ready requirements of big box retailers. Vision and line tracking accommodates random product orientation and continuous motion, while ensuring reliable picking. Custom-designed multi-function end-of-arm tools (EOATs) eliminate the need for changeovers. MagneMotion, a Rockwell Company, provides an intelligent conveyor system with independent cart technology for high throughput rates, smooth operation and minimal part wear.

Nominated for PMMIs 2018 Technology Excellence Award in the Prepared Foods category, Pearsons robotic packing system is being recognized for its use of innovative technologies to meet the ongoing challenges of manufacturers in the food, beverage, personal care and warehouse automation industry.

In addition, PackExpo attendees will be able to learn about Flexicells line of standard, compact palletizers. Available in four common configurations, the robotic palletizing cells are specifically designed to be small, user-friendly and cost-effective. With less than 11 x 8 ft. the smallest unit, Flexicells Compact Palletizer will be on display at the show.

USER CENTRIC DESIGN (UCD)
Both systems will feature Pearsons User Centric Design (UCD), facilitating an intuitive user experience to simplify machine operation and maintenance tasks. With an updated HMI with a modern, website-like feel and interaction, Pearsons User Centric Design enables new operators and maintainers to be independent at a much faster rate.

PEARSON SYSTEMS SOLUTIONS GROUP (PSSG)
Pearsons Systems Solutions Group (PSSG) will be onsite as well to meet with prospects looking for complete turnkey solutions for their entire secondary packing lines. This business unit handles everything from line design, to material and product handling, electrical and controls systems, mechanical and electrical infrastructure, vendor and project management, installation and site management and full system validation. Since Pearsons Systems Solutions Group can source from Pearson and Flexicells comprehensive portfolio for all major line components, customers benefit from shorter lead times, more seamless integration and a uniform user interface.

Pearson will be exhibiting at booth S-3506.
