Tell us about your company. 

binder is a family-owned company, employing around 1,800 people worldwide and headquartered in Neckarsulm, Germany. As a leading specialist in circular connectors, binder operates nine global sales offices, seven production facilities, two system service providers, and an innovation center.

The company produces a wide range of industrial connectors, including mounting and cable connectors for automation technology. Its strength lies in the customized development and automated manufacturing of connectors based on customer specifications.

binder's products, which range from subminiature to multi-pin machine connectors, serve industries such as agricultural machinery, medical technology, sensor technology, and automation.

binder USA, a subsidiary since 2005, is based in Camarillo and features a large warehouse for in-house manufacturing and stocking. This enables binder USA to offer timely deliveries and develop customized solutions, ensuring customer needs are met with precision and efficiency.

 

Your company will be exhibiting at ProMat, what is it that makes this an important event for your company?

When you get a chance to walk the exhibit hall floor yourself, what is it you will be most interested to see?  Any educational sessions, pavilions etc. you plan on attending? 

The binder team and I are interested in advancements in smart manufacturing, IIoT integration, and high-performance connectivity for material handling applications. Sessions on emerging trends in industrial automation and supply chain optimization will also be a priority, as they provide insights into the evolving demands for reliable connectivity in harsh environments. Additionally, I plan to visit pavilions focused on robotics and sustainability to see how material handling systems are evolving.

 

Material Handling is undertaking rapid advancements, be it automation, robotics and of course AI.  How is your companies services and products utilizing AI now to improve business? 

We have just launched a brand-new AI chatbot designed to provide first-line customer service consultations. This innovation streamlines interactions by offering quick responses to common queries, ensuring customers receive efficient support at any time. It enhances our customer service process, allowing our team to focus on more complex issues.
