Additive Manufacturing Users Group Awards Ten Coveted DINOs

Recipients average nearly 20 years experience in additive manufacturing (3D printing).

The Additive Manufacturing Users Group (AMUG) today announced the recipients of DINO (Distinguished INnovator Operator) awards for additive manufacturing expertise and service. The awards were presented at the 28th annual users group conference in St. Louis, Missouri.

During the annual Awards Banquet, the association named ten DINOs, an award that recognizes industry veterans for years of experience as well as contributions back to the additive manufacturing industry.
The newly named DINOs are:
Andrew Allshorn, At 3D-Squared, Ltd.
Ben Dolan, UC Irvine
Vito Gervasi, Milwaukee School of Engineering
Elizabeth Goode, GoodeInk
Mike Hascher, Eagle Engineered Solutions Inc.
Joe Holland, Hyphen
Bonnie Meyer, Stratasys
Todd Reese, Realize, Inc.
Dan Welker, Yazaki North America
Jack Ziemba, Aristo-Cast, Inc.
Mark Barfoot, AMUG president, said, "This years DINO recipients have an average of nearly 20 years of experience in the additive manufacturing industry, but experience is only part of the criteria for this coveted award. To be a DINO, one must also give back to the industry and support AMUG, and these ten individuals have done that in a big way."
The new DINOs have been active within the AMUG community in a variety of roles, including advisors, presenters, technical competition participants, workshop leaders and track leaders. Outside of AMUG, the DINOs are equally active, and they contribute to the advancement of the additive manufacturing industry.
Over its 28-year history, AMUG has awarded only 131 DINOs. Although there are many deserving individuals, the awards are capped at no more than one percent of the conference attendees.
