TurboFil to Introduce Innovative Bottle Capper and Pharmaceutical Track and Trace at PackExpo East

At PackExpo East, TurboFil Packaging Machines will showcase its new Multi-Head Hybrid Capper MH120, the most flexible chuck capper available for speeds up to 120 bpm. The second introduction, Reditrace Pharmaceutical Track and Trace, is a new cloud based system that makes all required data available from any location.

February 15, 2015

TurboFil Packaging Machines, a leader in liquid filling and assembly, will be showcasing two innovative products at the 2015 PackExpo East show, held February 16-18 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Since 2000, TurboFil has provided customers with quality equipment and valuable patented technologies to maximize reliability, efficiency and ease of operation. "TurboFil has always been driven by innovation, and our goal is to continue to develop and deliver advanced products that improve operational reliability and flexibility for our customers, particularly those with specialized needs." said TurboFil Vice President of Marketing & Business Development, Deborah Smook. "PackExpo East attendees can expect to see a broad range of systems that demonstrate our dedication to developing the right solutions to meet our customers special needs."

MHC120. Technology-driven Solution for Bottle Capping

TurboFil will feature a live demonstration of its new Multi-Head Hybrid Capper MHC120 in booth 1111 at PackExpo East. This new platform combines the accuracy and repeatability of servo controlled capping with the flexibility and easy changeover of parallel gripper belts for container handling.

The MHC120 offers an abundance of features in a compact package that can be installed right over the customers existing conveyor. Measuring only 100 inches along the conveyor, the unique racetrack layout delivers capping speeds of up to 120 containers per minute.

"Understanding our customers need for chuck capping on a more flexible platform, were offering the latest in servo motor technology, bringing together gentle capping, enhanced reliability, and super easy changeover," commented Smook.

In addition to its latest capping solutions, TurboFil will showcase a number of other advanced technologies, including:

* Vers40 Vial Filling and Assembly System - Compact walking beam system for filling, stoppering and crimping or screw capping of vials. No vial change parts are required.
* UniPuck Adjustable Puck System - In line filling and assembly system designed for operations with multiple containers, short runs and frequent changeovers. Common applications include perfumes, personal care products and diagnostic reagents.
* Syringe and Applicator Filling Systems. Automatic systems for filling and assembling single and dual syringes and unusual applicators with liquid and viscous product.
* Nail Polish Filling and Assembly - Semi- and fully automated systems.

Introducing Reditrace, an Innovative Cloud Solution for Pharmaceutical Track and Trace

TurboFil Packaging Machines, LLC and Miracom Computer Corp. have partnered to develop an integrated serialization, ePedigree and traceability solution for the pharmaceutical supply chain. Working together, TurboFil and Miracom enable pharmaceutical companies and CMO/CPO supply partners to confidently meet all track and trace regulations.

The Reditrace Clouds track and trace platform is hardware independent allowing for a choice of printer, camera and sensor. This makes it easily adaptable to an existing packaging line. The cloud based system enables an enterprise wide sharing solution with end-to-end controlled access to all data without expensive local infrastructure requirements. To prevent downtime during software upgrades or line outage, data is also stored locally prior to upload.

Pharmaceutical companies and external supply partners benefit from:

* Serial number provisioning and tracking as products are packaged and distributed
* Inventory management from packaging line to distribution
* Full capabilities for analysis and data mining

Judah Holstein, CEO of Miracom Computer Corp. commented, "This unique platform, utilizing local hardware, and cloud storage and access, minimizes total cost of ownership as well as compliance risk. Our extensive experience and impeccable track record with cloud based inventory tracking is the foundation for this innovative approach."

All of the newest TurboFil equipment will be on display in booth 1111 at PackExpo East. For more information on any TurboFil Packaging Machines equipment, please visit http://www.turbofil.com.

T.J. Davies' Retention Knobs

T.J. Davies' Retention Knobs

Our retention knobs are manufactured above international standards or to machine builder specifications. Retention knobs are manufactured utilizing AMS-6274/AISI-8620 alloy steel drawn in the United States. Threads are single-pointed on our lathes while manufacturing all other retention knob features to ensure high concentricity. Our process ensures that our threads are balanced (lead in/lead out at 180 degrees.) Each retention knob is carburized (hardened) to 58-62HRC, and case depth is .020-.030. Core hardness 40HRC. Each retention knob is coated utilizing a hot black oxide coating to military specifications. Our retention knobs are 100% covered in black oxide to prevent rust. All retention knob surfaces (not just mating surfaces) have a precision finish of 32 RMA micro or better: ISO grade 6N. Each retention knob is magnetic particle tested and tested at 2.5 times the pulling force of the drawbar. Certifications are maintained for each step in the manufacturing process for traceability.
