The plant will manufacture a breadth of RFID solutions to drive adoption of digital identification technologies across industries including apparel, food, healthcare, logistics and general retail.

Through innovation and collaboration, Avery Dennison is committed to helping address key industry challenges including optimizing supply chain and labor efficiency, reducing waste, advancing sustainability, transparency and circularity, and helping brands and consumers better connect. Representing a total investment of over $100M, the extension of regional and global production aligns with Avery Dennison's ambition of giving every item a unique digital identity and digital life.

"The State of Querétaro and the Municipality of Querétaro have a distinct focus on sustainable development, while benefiting from a privileged geographic location and skilled workforce. These provisions further assure our clients of the leading service they have come to expect from Avery Dennison, as they strive towards realizing their respective innovation ambitions," says Francisco Melo, president, Solutions Group at Avery Dennison. "We continue to see growing demand for our RFID and digital ID solutions across the Americas region. This is driven, in part, by the need for greater supply chain visibility, along with an increased understanding of how the technology can add further value in areas such as inventory management and loss prevention. The new facility is testament to our Making Possible commitment, as we continue to expand on our capabilities to help solve industry challenges and create value for businesses, people and the planet."

The ~25,000 square meters plant is located in Querétaro's new FINSA III industrial park and will soon obtain the LEED Certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), a globally recognized rating system that demonstrates a building's commitment to sustainability.
