Finish Thompson Inc. Highlights GP Series Plastic Centrifugal Pumps for Electroplating and Anodizing

Value priced industrial chemical pumps designed to provide years of reliable service

Erie, PA -- Finish Thompson Inc. (FTI), an international leader in the corrosive chemical transfer industry, highlights its GP Series of plastic centrifugal pumps, a value-priced industrial chemical pump designed to provide years of reliable service. The GP Series effectively handles caustics, acids, plating solutions, and liquids with small amounts of abrasives, making it an ideal and economical choice for chemical applications where the solution may contain small amounts of particulate and abrasives.
For electroplating and anodizing applications, the GP Series is ideal for pumping liquids through filters to prevent contaminants on the finished surface. It is also highly effective at pumping liquids through eductors to keep solutions well mixed, and to prevent thermal stratification in the tanks.
Featuring molded housings of chemical-resistant polypropylene or polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), the pumps provide a durable defense against corrosive chemicals and environments, increasing pump life. Non-metallic wetted parts give the pumps the ability to pump even the most corrosive fluids. An easy back pull-out enables quick access for pump maintenance.

The GP Series is available in a variety of seal combinations and impeller sizes, including multiple seal options that allow application flexibility to handle a wide variety of applications, from clean fluids to fluids with particulate, high suction pressures, and thermal cycling. Seal styles for the GP Series include bellows, the most popular choice; multi-spring, which withstand higher suction pressure and are ideal for booster pump applications; or double type, which feature a water flush for use with liquids that crystalize, have abrasives, or where there is a risk of potentially running without liquid.
Multiple impeller trim options allow for enhanced hydraulic selection and application flexibility. The pumps are also available in close-coupled designs that offer a compact footprint, or pedestal-mounted versions that help improve motor reliability in the event of a seal failure.

GP Series pumps are equipped with adapters that allow them to be connected to NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Association) motors or IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) metric motors for worldwide installation. They are CE/UKCA/EAC certified, so they can be installed across the globe.
