Industrial Internet Consortium Hosts Member Pavilion at Hannover Messe
Visit leaders of the IIoT at Hall 8, Stand D23
The Industrial Internet Consortium® (IIC™), now incorporating OpenFog, today announced that it is hosting a member pavilion at Hannover Messe, the world's leading trade show for industrial technology. IIC members and testbed participants will exhibit and demonstrate IoT technologies at the event, which runs from April 1-5, 2019 in Hannover, Germany.
The IIC Pavilion in Hall 8, Stand D23, will showcase innovative companies from its global membership. The pavilion will also feature two IIC testbeds, where the innovation and opportunities of the industrial internet happen, and will showcase the IIC automotive security demonstration. IIC members exhibiting in the IIC Pavilion are: aicas, IIC German Regional Team lead, Ferdinand-Steinbeis-Institut, FogHorn, Fraunhofer IOSB, Lynx Software Technologies, NetApp, Tata Consultancy Services/NetFoundry and SAS. Many members from the IIC global membership base will also exhibit throughout Hannover Messe (see list). IIC Member, AASA, is also showcasing a Li-Fi technology solution throughout the pavilion.
Demonstration includes:
The Time Sensitive Networking for Flexible Manufacturing (TSN) Testbed, which provides enhanced Ethernet technology to support real-time control and synchronization of high-performance machines over a single, standard Ethernet network, supporting multi-vendor interoperability and integration.
The Smart Factory Web Testbed, which forms a network of smart factories with a flexible adaptation of production capabilities and sharing of resources and assets with the goal of improving order fulfillment.
Automotive Security - members of the IIC Automotive Security Task Group, led by LHP Engineering, have developed this demonstration to address the universal automotive pain-points of safety violations resulting from cybersecurity compromises.
"IoT, and especially Industrial IoT (IIoT) is critical to digital transformation," said IIC Executive Director Dr. Richard Soley. "IIoT has clearly passed the "hype" stage, not to say there isn't still hype but there are serious technical and business process results to apply today - the IIC has already published results from our testbeds. We're thrilled to see so many of our members exhibiting and showcasing IIC testbeds at Hannover Messe this week."
